Padres embarrassed in blowout loss to Blue Jays - Gaslamp Ball
The Padres offense continued its inability to hit with runners in scoring position. San Diego had eight more opportunities to get a hit with a runner on second or third and failed to do so. The numbers are now 0-for-32 in their five-game losing streak.
To make things worse for the Padres, they committed four errors in the game and two of those came on consecutive batters on plays not made by Manny Machado in the bottom of the seventh.

Starting pitcher Yu Darvish is feeling some “residual effects” from his elbow issue in spring training, and there remains no timetable for his return.
Multiple sources said he is not experiencing pain and that there has not been a setback, per se.
The plan, according to sources, is for Darvish to remain in San Diego rather than join the team in Atlanta later this week, as had been expected.
