SDFC wins on stoppage time goal vs. LA Galaxy
San Diego FC's Hirving "Chucky" Lozano pulled a rabbit out of hat in the final seconds on Saturday's win over LA Galaxy.

In what was perhaps the most dramatic game in San Diego FC history, a rivalry was born. There was good and bad to reflect on after the game ended, so let's get into all of it.
Chucky's Buzzer Beater
This goal felt somewhat reminiscent of the first goal in San Diego FC history, a mistake made by LA Galaxy's backline that was taken advantage of by the SDFC strikers. The only differences were the location (home game vs. away game) and the order (last time: Lozano-to-Dreyer, this time: Dreyer-to-Lozano).
Chucky Lozano's goal in the 94th minute of a 95 minute match was a blessing, an opportunity for SDFC to get three points in the standings instead of one. It was not an opportunity created by the offense, but one created by a critical mistake on the part of LA Galaxy.
Avoiding mistakes and taking advantage of mistakes from the other side is a big reason why San Diego FC is 2nd in the Western Conference. The opposite would be able to tell some of the story as to why the reigning champions of MLS are in last place in the same conference, still searching for their first win of the season.
