Machado said he’s sympathetic to SDFC fans who are getting a not-sweet taste of the business of sports.
“I see both sides of things,” he said, “but at the end of the day, I’m always rooting for the players, and I want what’s best for them.
“Hopefully, he stays and hangs around for a long time,” Machado added. “He’s a San Diego kid. He’s done a tremendous job for us. He’s helped us win a lot of games.”
