For the second time in five weeks, San Diego FC has rewarded one of its top players with a contract extension.

The club on Wednesday announced that defender Christopher McVey has agreed to a new deal through the 2027 season with a player option for 2028. Financial terms were not disclosed; the new deal was effective Tuesday.
