Day 2 of Section 1904 is day 1 of the 2025 San Diego Padres season, which means that Darren and I will have plenty to talk about when we record our next podcast episode tomorrow.

Today, like many San Diego sports fans, we're busy. First, we'll be down at Mason Ale Works, about a mile away from Petco Park. Come hang out! Doors open at 10am and you'll be able to find us on the back patio with beers in our hand not long after that.

We hope to see you there, a space that we'll be calling home for many future podcast recordings, live events and celebration gatherings. That means you should come check out our home-away-from-home so you know where to go if the Padres or San Diego FC do something historic and we want to celebrate together. Also, the tacos are amazing.

As we discussed on yesterday's podcast, Darren is heading to today's game and I have parenthood responsibilities to attend to. The San Diego Padres will throw out the first pitch to the Atlanta Braves at around 1:10pm, so I expect we'll hang until a little after 12pm before breaking the party up.

We'll be back with a podcast on Friday morning to recap the game and preview a bit of the fun weekend ahead for San Diego sports fans. Should any big news break between now and then, you can expect at least a post about it on this site (and in your email inbox if you are subscribed!) today before we go more in-depth on the podcast.
